About Kapsule
We're building Africa's health-data infrastructure to accelerate medical research and improve patient outcomes across the continent.
Our Story
Kapsule was born from a personal truth: healthcare in Africa can be excellent, but its data is fragmented. Our founders experienced this firsthand; receiving high-quality care in digitized hospitals, yet seeing how siloed information prevented that excellence from scaling. After years of tackling different healthcare challenges on the continent, our team realized the most profound change comes from solving the underlying data problem for policy and operations.
Founded in 2020, Kapsule captures, processes and aggregates patient & product data across nine African markets. Our mission is to accelerate research, improve patient outcomes and create shared value for data partners through secure, compliant data infrastructure.

Our Expertise
Our team unites decades of diverse expertise; from medicine and pharmaceutical genetics to cryptography, cybersecurity, and enterprise engineering. This unique blend of skills allowed us to build the Kapsule Terminal, our flagship analytics platform.
The Kapsule Terminal
The Terminal solves the challenge of data fragmentation by integrating clinically-deep, longitudinal data from a growing network of partner hospitals, pharmacies, diagnostic labs, and insurance providers across Africa. This regularly updated, de-identified data is transformed into a single, secure resource.
Our purpose is to make clinical trials more representative and to provide research sponsors with the tools to dramatically reduce Time-to-First-Patient, de-risk site selection, and unlock the immense potential of the African continent for clinical innovation.
